Propel Industries’ 470eTR Heavy-Duty Electric Tractor Trailer Secures Homologation Certification

470eTR, India’s first electric tractor trailer, is pioneering advancements in capability and green innovation.

Propel Industries, India’s leader in crushing, screening, and washing equipment manufacturing, has achieved a significant milestone. The electric heavy-duty tractor trailer, 470eTR, has received Homologation certification, officially confirming that the vehicle is roadworthy and complies with government safety standards.

The 470eTR is a next-generation heavy-duty electric tractor trailer engineered for a 55T Gross Combination Weight (GCW) and powered by a 385 kWh battery pack, with 480 kWh and 550 kWh variants in development. Designed for demanding industrial applications, it combines high performance with minimal environmental impact. Equipped with fast-charging high-density batteries, regenerative braking, and tubeless tires, the 470eTR delivers a competitive operating range. Driver comfort is ensured through a 4-point suspended cabin and ergonomic cockpit with sleeper berth, while safety is enhanced with Electronic Braking System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Aid, and Electro-Pneumatic Hand Brake. Operational productivity is further enhanced through a clutch-free Electric Motor Transmission (EMT) and longer oil change intervals, lowering service expenses and increasing availability. With zero emissions, lower noise levels, and asbestos-free brake liners, the 470eTR sets a new benchmark in sustainable heavy-duty mobility, combining performance, safety, and efficiency in one advanced solution.
