Engineer – Supplier Quality – PR-006

Job Description :

Supplier Evaluation & Selection: Assess potential supplier's capabilities through technical reviews, quality system audits, and site visits to ensure they can meet quality requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Track supplier quality metrics like defect rates, compliance to identify areas for improvement and hold suppliers accountable for quality standards.
Quality Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement corrective action plans with suppliers to address quality issues, including root cause analysis and preventative measures.
Supplier Development: Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers to improve their manufacturing processes and quality systems.
New Product Introduction: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure new
components from suppliers meet design specifications and quality requirements throughout the development process
Incoming Inspection Oversight: Review and approve incoming inspection procedures and ensure proper quality checks are performed on received materials.
First Time Right: Establish supplier process for New vendor part, New Product Development and existing parts change management
Non-Conformance Management: Investigate and resolve non-conforming product issues, including initiating corrective actions and managing supplier corrective action requests (SCARS).
Compliance Management: Ensure suppliers adhere to relevant quality standards and

Skills Required :

Quality Improvement Initiatives
SAP user knowledge
Proficiency in root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (e.g.,BD, FMEA, 5 Whys, 7QC Tools)
Willing to travel supplier end/Customer end for inspection and problem solving
